![]() · Beer & Bowling: This combines 2 of my very favorite things to do! I love a beer and having one whilst bowling is just fun in the making! You can do this at the sports centre in the marina (MSC Gym), and if you don’t want to call it a night after you have finished bowling, pop across the canal to have one for the road in Lighthouse! · Camping: Yes you heard me right - Camping in the winter can be really good fun as long as you check the weather a head of time! You can go as close or as far as you like. There are some lovely spots near Datça and Turunç that accept campers all year round. Look out for me at ‘Aktur’ near Datça as I plan on making that my second home this winter! And with tents really cheaply available online – why not pack up with a few beers and head off on an adventure! · Volunteer at the Marmaris / Içmeler Dog Pound: Free to do and priceless to the dogs! Be sure to check out the MAW page on Facebook for further info. · Cinema: There is usually one film in English on every couple of weeks in the Point Center/ Marti cinema, and at 10tl per person for entrance, this makes a cheap afternoon or evening leaving a few extra lira to spend on pick ‘n’ mix! · Horse Riding: Based in Camli village which is on the way to Cleopatra island, ‘Pinar Horse Safari’ is open all winter and only 15 minutes drive away from Marmaris. · Coffee with Friends: One of my pastimes during winter is to meet up with friends for a posh coffee and cookie at the trendy Kahve Dünyası. I can easily spend 2 hours catching up and having a gossip while working my way through the coffee menu chilling on the Netsel Marina. · Fishing: Winter is the time to relax and unwind and there is no better way to chill out than by fishing alone or with friends and a picnic. · Go-Carting: Located on the Datça road heading out towards Orhaniye, this is a great way to spend a few hours! It costs approx 20tl for 20 laps however I am sure that a deal can be made if there are a few of you heading out there! · Sunday Brunch at Asparan: Breakfast / Brunch Turkish Stylee come’s in at 15TL per person, and boy is it worth it! I am an Asparan regular during both winters and summers, but there is something slightly more special about heading down to there on a warm winters day for a spot of Sunday Brunch with friends. · Visit Izmir: Izmir Wildlife Park (Zoo) - 2tl per person for entrance. Ikea: A visit to Izmir would not be complete without hitting Ikea!
