Facebook Poll: (In no particular order)
· Hawaii Five-0: Kelly Thomson, Marmaris Resident - Good plot line and Steve Mcgarett! · Homeland: Em Watson, Marmaris Resident - I do like it when a series has a beginning, middle & end, rather than just meandering on for series after series, long after the writers have run out of ideas & the actors run out of interest. Also, considering certain recent events the premise of the series seems rather prophetic (US PoW is returned several years after capture, but has he/hasn't he been turned into a sympathiser with his captives and their biggest asset in the US. · 24: Kerry Uzuntok, Marmaris Resident – 24 is fast paced, exciting and Jack Bauer is the man! · Cosmos: Em Watson, Marmaris Resident - A Space-time Odyssey is start showing on Digiturk. It's unusual to see quality science docs coming out of the US, and this is a very watchable series I found. It's visually stunning, easily understandable, wide-ranging and you will find your head full of amazing facts you never knew before. · Borgen: Amy Ayhan, Istanbul Resident - I think its interesting to watch a series about politics that are not the UK or USA. It’s the first time ever I have watched a subtitled series but was hooked from the first episode. I also like the 2 sides shown to politics and the way the media spins. · Alan Carr Chatty Man: Jane Ecer, Marmaris Resident - He's witty, hilarious and the celebrities are fab as! · The Following: Zeynep Koymen, Marmaris Resident - Great cast, particularly Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy. It's about a serial killer, Joe Carroll (James Purefoy), who while in prison connects with other killers and forms a cult. These followers help him escape and Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon), an ex-FBI agent who arrested Joe Carroll originally, is called back into duty to try and find Joe Carroll. There are loads of twists and turns in the story - real edge of your seat stuff - and you never really know if a character is a 'good guy' or really part of Joe Carroll's 'following'. Definitely recommend this program. · Under the Dome: Chris Price, Marmaris Resident - A giant dome descends on a town and they can't get out. An alien type of series, waiting for series 2 to come out. · Game of Thrones: (Reviewed 2ce!) - Em Watson, Marmaris Resident - Well, I've just ploughed through season 4 of Game of Thrones, which I truly love. I am a fantasy geek and have read all the books already, but love the fact that the production is perfect, the script & acting sport on and the storytelling is just so damn good, and it's a bit sexy.....! - Una O’Doherty, Marmaris Resident - I love the plots, the characters, the multiple storylines & all the twists & surprises that they throw in. You can never be sure what will happen next!! My Favourites: · Nashville: I actually didn’t know just how much I was going to LOVE country music until Nashville blessed my existence! If you LOVE music, bitchiness, hot men (and women), gossip, sex & scandal then you too will love Nashville! This has turned into my number one go to series of late and I absolutely love season 3! I guarantee that you will do exactly what I did and have a Nashville marathon (which took me one week) till you are at the obsessed stage that I currently find myself in! · Scandal: Scandal absolutely rocked my world! It has a great mix of characters, an affair with the President, an extremely smart and sassy female lead plus some excellent twists along the way – at the end of each episode I was actually saying out load – ‘Damn, can this series get any better?’ – the answer was yes yes yes! · Orange is the New Black: Hilarious laugh out loud prison comedy that is my go to series when Im feeling down, in need of cheering up, bored, in a good mood – well, you get the picture, I simply LOVE this show!

The Bride & Groom: Hollie first met Mark when she was a holiday rep working for MyTravel in Marmaris in 2006. Mark was her Team Leader so officially they had found ‘forbidden love’. Hollie was 20 and Mark 26.
From that summer season onwards they became inseparable working in not just Turkey but also Greece, Egypt, Dominican Republic, Mexico and the UK as a couple. They got engaged on Hollie’s 22nd birthday in the Dominican Republic. Mark had planned to propose in the helicopter ride he'd booked for Hollie however his microphone in the helicopter wasn't working! In the evening he took Hollie for dinner and finally proposed then, to which off course she said YES! They chose Turkey to get married as this was where they met, plus Mark is half Turkish. The Venue: The wedding and reception were set in the idyllic venue of Club Mistral in Hisaronu, located 25 minutes away from Marmaris. The wedding itself took place in a picture perfect garden area of ruins and was an amazingly glamorous setting for an amazingly glamorous bride and groom. Sitting in what I can only describe as a film set watching the bride and groom exchanging nuptials brought a tear to my eye to just how much love was in the open air venue. Club Mistral has always been their favorite place on the planet, so what better place to wed. .? The Guests: The table plan read like a who’s who of Marmaris Tour Operator elite from the good old days of MyTravel & Julian Tours. I was so happy to see so many friends of old, with one friend (Lotfi Kammoun, supervisor for Thomas Cook) travelling all the way from Tunisia to attend the wedding. It was also great to meet friends of new from the bride and grooms family and friends that had traveled over from the UK (and one all the way from the Dominican Republic). The Reception: The reception was filled with fabulous food, copious amounts of alcohol, hilarious toasts, a great band, and best of all was the company that we shared the wedding and reception with. A sign of a good night is surely black feet as I kicked off my shoes to dance the night away! The Dress: Bespoke, an original and one off design from the UK. Photographer: Carl Thomson Humphries, UK Based. Carl is available for destination weddings and also includes ‘trash the dress’ shoots after the wedding.
